FORMER HUSKER SCOTT FROST NEW OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR AT OREGON

Scott Frost       The University of  Oregon has promoted former Nebraska QB Scott Frost to offensive coordinator, replacing Mark Helfrich, who moved up to head coach when Chip Kelly left for the NFL as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. Frost’s move up had been widely expected.

The 38-year-old Frost…who will also be the QBs coach…has coached WRs for the Ducks the past 4 years after spending time as defensive coordinator at Northern Iowa. He was a graduate assistant at both Nebraska under Frank Solich and Kansas State under Ron Prince.

A high school star at Wood River, Frost began his college career at Stanford but transferred to Nebraska and led the Huskers to the 1997 national championship. He then spent 6 years in the NFL as a safety.
