Florence L. Fees, 90, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at St. James Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ralph Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill. Visitation will be held from 4-7p.m. Tuesday, January 1, at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. Florence was born May 12, 1922 in Hastings, Nebraska to William and Marie (Reiber) Kessler. She moved to Scotts Bluff County when she was six years old and attended school in Henry. Florence married Ruben Weinmaster on December 12, 1940 in Henry and to this union two sons were born, Ron and Fred Weinmaster. Her daughter, GeorgeAnn Burback was born in 1955. Florence later married John Fees in 1960 in Scottsbluff.
Florence worked at Woolworth’s for many years, was a nursing assistant for St. Mary’s and Regional West for 13 years, and cleaned homes up until the last week of her death. She was very active in St. James Lutheran Church and Dorcas Society. She was also a member of the VFW Women’s Auxillary and volunteered for the election board for 25 years. Florence enjoyed gardening and baking. She cherished her sons, Ron and Fred, and adored her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Ron (Judy) Weinmaster of Torrington, WY; grandchildren, Ronda (Paul) Haught of Scottsbluff, Doug (Yulia) Weinmaster of North Bend, WA, and Brian (Marie) Weinmaster of Cheyenne, WY; great grandchildren, Payson and Wyatt Haught, Johnathan Weinmaster, Shelby McCloud, Maiya and Alexa Weinmaster, and Bryce and Brad Weinmaster; and great great grandson, Ryker McConahay.
Preceding Florence in death were her parents; two husbands; daughter, GeorgeAnn; son, Fred; grandson, John Weinmaster; and sister, Delores Schwartzkopf.
