Classes at Alliance High School were interrupted for about 20 minutes this morning when the building’s fire alarms were accidentally activated.
Students and staff exited the building for twenty minutes while members of the Alliance Fire Department performed a building sweep.
Building principal Dr. Pat Jones says it was determined that during a physical education class in the gym a ball accidentally hit a sensor and activated the system.
The alarm was activated at 9:20 a.m., and students returned to their classes around 9:40 a.m.
