Erma Dean Kirkendall, 73, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at her home in Alliance.

Dean was born on August 20, 1941 in Gatesville, TX to Ernest and Lillian Myrtle (Griffin) Herrington.

On February 4, 1964 she was united in marriage to Ted W. Kirkendall.

She is survived by her husband, her children, James Kirkendall of Crowley, CO, Frank (Debi)  Kirkendall of Mosca, CO and Carla Heckman of Alliance, her grandchildren, Dustin (Tabatha) Kirkendall, Nicole Carragher, Kameron (Austin) Gray, Jordan Heckman and Jeffery Heckman, her great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Alyssa, Olivia, Isabella and Sayde.  She is also survived by her brothers and sister, John Herrington of Maysville, OK, George (Mary) Kirkendall of Roswell, NM, Viola Foster of Phoenix, AZ, Wayne (Nel) Herrington of Encino, NM and Joseph Herrington of Alliance.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Charlie Herrington and Jimmy Douglas Herrington and her twin sister, Emma Jean Hooser

Memorial services will be Friday, August 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Rowe officiating.  Burial will be in the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery.
