Dawes County 4-H is gearing up to have some “Fun in the Sun” during Pre-Fair Activity Day on July 22 at the fairgrounds in Chadron.  Starting at 8:30 am, all youth enrolled in the clothing or sewing projects will be checking in their exhibits for judging and signing up for modeling.  Judging and practice modeling will begin at 9:00 am.  In addition, there will be several contests running throughout the day open to any 4-H member.  Youth are encouraged to participate in these fun and educational activities which include the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Life Challenge Contest, starting at 1:00 pm in the 4-H Building, the 4-H Tree ID & Horticulture Contest going from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Event Center, and the 4-H Presentation Contest beginning at 4:30 pm in the Event Center.   The finale for the day will be the 4-H Public Fashion Show at 7:00 pm in the 4-H Building.  The audience will be treated to a showing of great talent and then watch as youth receive awards for all their hard work.
