According to other media sources the 2015 Nebraska District 4-H Horse Shows were held recently in six locations across the state and one rider from Dawes County earned herself a spot at next month’s State 4-H Horse Exposition.

Kate Wellnitz claimed reserve championship honors in both Sr. Western Pleasure and Sr. Horsemanship at the district show held at Bridgeport last Tuesday.

The two placings qualified Wellnitz for the state competition coming up July 12-16 in Grand Island.

A total of 424 exhibitors with 1231 entries competed in the 6 district shows, demonstrating what they have learned through their 4-H Horse project area and practicing good sportsmanship.
