_{David Eugene Anthony at the age of 92 passed away peacefully Saturday June 3, 2017 at Ponderosa Villa, Crawford, Nebr.. He was born September 29,1924 in Nashville, Indiana, moving to Chadron, Nebr. at the age of seven. He graduated from Chadron HS in 1943 and immediately entered the U.S. Army serving three years in France, then Rhineland of Germany and in Austria where he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge as well as the Bronze Star thus being promoted to Technical Sergeant Major. He was discharged in 1946, returning to Chadron where he met & married Doris Mae Riggins. To this joyous union one daughter and one son were brought into this world.}  

 _{Going through schooling in Kansas City, Missouri, David began his Jeweler Watchmaker business in Hay Springs, Nebr. where he enjoyed playing town team basketball, poker and belonging to the Masonic Lodge being certified for over 60 years. Without hesitation one could say Dave was passionate about the game of golf, his family and buddies.} 

 _{Survivors include his sweetheart and wife of 71 years, Doris Anthony, son Rick Anthony, daughter, Diana Parks; grandchildren, Colette Fernandez, Ricci Sanders, Kaly Anthony, Camie Mann, LeiShel Patrick and Troy Stout plus nine wonderful great grandchildren as well as brother, Walter Anthony. Preceding in his death were his grandson, Jesse D Anthony as well as parents, Lester Anthony and Edna Ingram. The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Chadron Home Health and Hospice.}

 _{A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am Monday, June 19, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 802 Chadron Ave, with Pastor Aaron Sprock officiating. A military burial will take place at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery in Alliance at a later date. Come to support each other and enjoy the fellowship as we reminisce by sharing our life stories about this very special one-of-a-kind man!! Following the service will be a delicious dinner served by the gracious First Baptist ladies,}
