AVONDALE, Ariz. – The Chadron State College women’s golf team opened the 2015 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in fine fashion Monday at Coldwater Golf Course by firing a season-best round of 334.With that score, the Eagles, who had a previous best round of 342, are tied for eighth place with Colorado Christian.Metro State leads the 12-team field with 301. Western New Mexico isn’t far behind at 302 and Colorado State University-Pueblo is third with 308.Two CSC golfers also fired their best rounds of the season Monday. Kelli Haynes finished with a 3-over-par score of 75 and finished the opening day in eighth place. Haynes had three birdies and four bogeys during the opening 18 holes.Karson Langely carded an 88 to also set a season best.Also for Chadron State, Schuyler Wetzel shot 85, Emma Harris finished with 86 and Mikayla Gallagher carded 92.
