CSC-WEST TEXAS A&M FB TO BE ON CBS SPORTS NETWORK

The Chadron State football team will be on national TV this fall. The NCAA says the Eagles September 12th game against West Texas A&M at Cowboys Stadium…home of the Dallas Cowboys…is one of six Division II regular season televised games that will be broadcast by CBS Sports Network.

The game is a rematch of the opening round game of the 2012 playoffs, which the Buffalos won 38-30, and will be the marquee game of the Lone Star Football Festival, which will see teams from the Lone Star Conference play 6 games at Cowboys Stadium over 3 consecutive days. Kickoff on Thursday Sept 12 will be 6 pm MDT.

CSC head coach Jay Long can’t wait. “It’s a great opportunity for our team to play in that type of atmosphere and we’re excited to be one of 12 teams featured for a national TV audience. I think our alumni and fans will be proud of the product we put the field and we’re excited to show what Chadron State football is all about.”

This will be the 8th year that NCAA Division II has partnered with CBS Sports Network to broadcast regular season games. Nearly 25% of the division’s football-playing members having enjoyed national television exposure during the course of the agreement.

This will be CSC’s second time to be on a CBS Sports Network broadcast. The first was the Eagles’ thrilling 28-16 come from behind victory at Nebraska-Kearney in 2007, a game in which All-American running back Danny Woodhead went out with an ankle injury on the opening offensive play.
