The annual Chadron State College Faculty/Staff Recognition buffet is this evening. The event was originally set for April 9, but was postponed when the college was closed that day by the biggest of the month’s snowstorms.

A highlight of the Recognition dinner will be the presentation of the CSC Teaching Excellence award to music professor Dr Sandy Schaefer, with the two other finalists…Dr. Patti Blundell and Dr. August Bruehlman…also being honored.

Others being recognized are 4 college staffers who have or are retiring this school year…Deb Meter, Judy Rutter, Mark Stephen and John Alley…and staff and faculty who reached employment milestones this year.

Heading that list is former College Information Director Con Marshall…at the school for 35

years. Registrar Dale Williamson and professors Dr Kim Madsen and Dr Jim Wright are all being celebrated for 30 years with CSC.
