
CHADRON – The Chadron State College softball team will host the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs softball team in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference four-game series this weekend.
Saturday’s doubleheader begins at noon and Sunday’s twin-bill starts at 11 a.m.
The Mountain Lions enter this weekend’s games with an 8-4-1 record and are led by the strong hitting of Allie Cordis and Jessica Belsterling.
Cordis is batting .400 on the season to go along with 21 RBIs. Belsterling is hitting .429 and has hit four home runs and driven in 13 runs.
The Eagles are 3-6 and 2-2 in the conference record after splitting with CSU-Pueblo last weekend.
Rebecca Wetsch is enjoying a strong sophomore campaign. She currently leads the Eagles with a .478 batting average and has added three homeruns and 11 RBIs, both are team highs.
Aryn Grywusiewicz is the Eagles’ No. 1 pitcher. She has a 2.74 ERA and two of the Eagles’ three wins.
