To better understand how Box Butte County embraces change, builds synergy, and leverages resources to attract and retain a working-age population, Box Butte County community leaders want to know your thoughts about the future. As part of the Rural Futures Initiative and UNL Extension, Box Butte County was one of four communities chosen to participate in a pilot program called ECAP or Entrepreneurial Communities Activation Process.
In order for ECAP to be successful, your input and thoughts are critical! Please follow the link to access the online ‘discovery tool’ – http://go.unl.edu/boxbutte
By engaging, in the Entrepreneurial Communities Activation Process (ECAP), we will be able to identify ways that Box Butte County can move towards positive change, better collaborate, and better understand our unique characteristics, community assets and potential opportunities.
This will also allow Box Butte Development’s Main Street Program to identify and prioritize our local economic development issues. In an attempt to allow more individuals to participate we have extended the Discovery Tool until Friday, June 7.
The results of this Discovery Tool will be shared with the community as we establish prioritization of the 8 Entrepreneurial Community Characteristics in creating our ECAP Action Plan. This meeting will be held June 24 at the Library (Learning Center, Rooms A & B) from 1-3 pm.
If you have questions or comments please feel free to contact Chelsie Herian or Debby Feller at Box Butte Development at 308-762-1800.
