The Alliance Public Library Book Club will meet Tuesday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the library’s back room to discuss “The End of Your Life Book Club” by Will Schwalbe.  Copies of the book are available at the library’s circulation desk and a postage fee of $3.50 is charged.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

 

The Alliance Public Library free summer concert series will feature classic rock and Latin music from Across the Border on Thursday, July 30 at 6:30 on the rose garden patio.  Please bring your lawn chairs as seating is not provided.  Refreshments will be served.  In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Library’s community meeting room.

 

In an effort to ensure clear access to sidewalks, streets and alleys, the City of Alliance is asking that residents trim the limbs, branches or foliage of any trees on their property to create a clearance of eight feet above any public sidewalk and 13½ feet above the surface of a street, lane or alley.  A list of trees that are recommended by the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum for planting in parkade areas is available on the City’s webpage.

 

Red Cross swimming lessons for Level 1 and Level 3 will be held at Big Blue Bay Monday, July 27 through Saturday, August 1.
