It will be Chadron against Gering this afternoon at 5:00 in for the American Legion basebakk B-7 District Junior title.

The Chadron 1st National Bank of North Platte Nationals are unbeaten, so Gering B&C Steel will have to beat them in the 5:00 game and in a second game immediately after the first to earn a berth in the state tournament this weekend.

Gering earned its spot in the finals by beating the Alliance Spartans 12-7 last night, avenging a 10-2 loss in the opening round.

B&C Steel scored 6 runs in the 1st inning, then pushed the margin to 12-0 before Alliance scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th…but the Spartans could get no closer.

Chadron is 5-0 against Gering this season, but the last 3 wins have come by a total of 4 runs.
