The Lady Cardinals traveled to Pine Ridge, South Dakota to take on the Red Cloud Crusaders on Saturday, February 2nd. After their loss on Friday, Chadron came back to win against Red Cloud on Saturday, 69-50.
After the first quarter, Chadron only led by 5 points, then the Lady Cards went on a run and outscored Red Cloud 21-8 to take a 37-19 lead into half-time. At the end of the 3rd quarter, Chadron was 20 points ahead, 54-34. As the buzzer sounded, the final score was 69-50. With the win, Chadron is now 18-2 on the year.
Both Peyton Hinn and Briley Hannaford chipped in with 17 points each. Alia Brennan and Carly Churchill provided 11 points and 10 points coming off the bench for the Lady Cardinals. For Red Cloud, Christi Sioux Bob was the only Crusader in double figures.
The Lady Cardinals will be back in action as they travel to Sidney on Friday, February 8th.
