There’s good news for students in the Chadron Public Schools: summer vacation will start a day earlier than expected.

Middle School Principal Nick Dressler says one of the snow days built into the school calendar wasn’t needed, so the year has been shortened by that day.

All students except this year’s seniors, who are graduating this weekend, and the 7th and 8th graders at Chadron Middle School will finish classes in two weeks on Monday May 19.

The 7th and 8th graders will get out even earlier, finishing on Friday the 16th.
