Chadron is on its home diamond tonight (Wednesday) to face Twin Cities in American Legion Baseball a night after crushing Torrington.
The Nationals rapped off 11 hits in a 16-5 road victory over the Torrington Seniors Tuesday. Colby Ellis pitched five complete innings for the win, allowing five hits and striking out three. At the plate Jackson Dickerson was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, four runs scored and finished a homer away from hitting for the cycle. Eight Nationals had at least one base hit and an eight-run 5th inning pushed the lead to 11, effectively ending the game as Torrington couldn’t score in the bottom half to continue into the sixth. No score was reported for the scheduled Juniors game.
The Chadron Juniors and Seniors (3-0) are set to play Twin Cities (Scottsbluff) at 5:00 and 7:00 at Maurice Horse Field tonight and Gering visits Sidney.
