ELMO PUPPETEER RESIGNS AFTER SECOND ACCUSER FILES SUIT

NEW YORK (AP) – The college student suing Kevin Clash for $5 million says he didn’t know he was the man behind Elmo when they met on a gay chat line when he was 15. Cecil Singleton says he was “shocked” when he found out what Clash did for a living. He says he and Clash had sexual contact for two weeks, but didn’t sleep together. He says Clash would go on gay chat lines for underage boys and meet them for sex. He says he hadn’t planned on coming forward until he heard another man accuse Clash of having sex with him when he was 16. That man later took back his accusation and said he wasn’t underage when they had a consensual relationship. Singleton’s lawyer says he’s been contacted by two other potential victims. Clash has resigned from “Sesame Street,” saying he’s “deeply sorry to be leaving.” Sesame Workshop says it was “a sad day for Sesame Street.”

NICKI/MARIAH RELATIONS ON IDOL SET: AWK-WARD!

NEW YORK (AP) – Nicki Minaj says when she took the job as a judge on “American Idol,” she didn’t realize how much of, well, a JOB it would be. She says things are “going good” so far. But Minaj says she didn’t expect she’d be putting in some “very long days.” She says sometimes she’s needed on set for eight hours to judge artists – and that clashes with her style. Minaj says she’s “used to be being able to handle my business at any time” – and she doesn’t have time to grab her Blackberry to keep up with things. But on the whole, she says she loves the Idol experience – to a point. When asked by The Associated Press how she and fellow judge Mariah Carey were getting along, the phone line went dead and a publicist asked the interviewer to move on to another question.

TRUTHINESS IN WAX: COLBERT FIGURE INSTALLED AT MADAME TUSSAUDS

WASHINGTON (AP) - Stephen Colbert will take his place among the presidents at the Madame Tussauds wax museum in Washington and will be featured in a new media gallery.

Colbert is expected to visit the museum Friday to unveil a new wax figure created to represent him. The museum says Colbert donated his own clothes to dress the figure in a suit, tie, cuff links and lapel pin.

The new figure will be the centerpiece of a new media gallery with a replica of "The Colbert Report" set where guests can sit next to Colbert's figure behind his fake news desk.

Designers from Madame Tussauds went to Colbert's New York studio in June to take more than 250 measurements and photographs of the Comedy Central star to create the wax figure.

WILL LIZ LEMON PLEDGE HER HAND IN MARRIAGE?

NEW YORK (AP) - NBC says Liz Lemon, the harried heroine of "30 Rock," will soon be getting married.

The network said Thursday the perennial bridesmaid played by Tina Fey will wed on the "30 Rock" episode that airs Nov. 29.

Who's the lucky groom? He's Criss Chros, played by guest star James Marsden. Criss, who arrived on the scene last season, is a would-be entrepreneur with a bright smile and a dim wit.

"30 Rock" is the saga of Lemon, the overextended producer of a fictitious comedy series. She is surrounded by kookie comrades like company boss Jack Donaghy, played by Alec Baldwin, and her boisterously unhinged star Tracy Jordan, played by Tracy Morgan.

"30 Rock" will conclude its seven-season run early next year.
