TV’S “HALF-MAN” IN A WHOLE LOT OF TROUBLE AFTER TELLING PEOPLE: “PLEASE STOP WATCHING”

NEW YORK (AP) – Angus T. Jones is urging people not to watch his show “Two and a Half Men.” Jones has been on the series for nine years, but he doesn’t want to be on it anymore. In a video posted by a Christian church Jones says “Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth.” The video was posted by the Forerunner Christian Church, where Jones says he went for spiritual guidance.

“ELIZABETH TAYLOR” BARBIE MARRIES, DIVORCES, REMARRIES, DIVORCES KEN

NEW YORK (AP) – Last night we saw Lindsay Lohan channel Elizabeth Taylor, now Barbie’s doing it. People magazine says this Barbie is named after Taylor’s fragrance White Diamonds. She has Taylor’s black bob and a white dress with a red satin ribbon to represent her work for people with HIV/AIDS. The doll also comes with some gold jewelry, an extra pair of heels and sunglasses. It’s selling for $150.

“JEANNIE” REMEMBERS LARRY HAGMAN

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Larry Hagman is being remembered by his co-stars. Barbara Eden from “I Dream of Jeannie” says Hagman was “an element of pure Americana.” He later went to star as ruthless oilman J.R. Ewing in “Dallas.” His “Dallas” wife Linda Gray says Hagman “brought joy to everyone he knew.” Victoria Principal, who co-starred in the original series, recalls Hagman as “bigger than life.” She calls Hagman “unforgettable, and irreplaceable.” Hagman died in Dallas on Friday at age 81. His family says Hagman succumbed to complications from his battle with cancer.

VAMPIRES DOMINATE HOLIDAY WEEKEND BOX OFFICE

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Turkey, stuffing — and vampires. The latest “Twilight Saga” movie stays number-one — in a record-breaking Thanksgiving for Hollywood. “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” takes in another $64 million. The James Bond movie “Skyfall” was second this weekend, followed by “Lincoln.” “Rise of the Guardians” opens in fourth place. Overall, $290 million worth of tickets were sold Wednesday through Sunday. That’s a Thanksgiving record and 25 percent better than last year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I GOT YOU ELVIS PRESLEY’S OLD WATCH. (IT’S NOT RETURNABLE.)

LONDON (AP) – If you have enough money you can give someone – or yourself – one of the last Christmas presents given to Elvis Presley. The gift is a watch that was given to Presley by his longtime manager Tom Parker. It’s engraved “Elvis Merry Christmas, you pal Col. Tom Parker.” Presley died the following August. The diamond-set Rolex is estimated to sell for at least $9,500 when it goes on sale on Thursday. Also among the items in the Christie’s auction lot this time around is the corset worn by Madonna on her 1990 “Blond Ambition” tour. And yes, it’s one of those corsets with those cone-shaped cups.

STONES PLAY 50TH ANNIVERSARY SHOWS IN LONDON

LONDON (AP) – It’s been 50 years. But other than the lines and crags on their faces, you wouldn’t have known that it’s been that long since The Rolling Stones began playing as a band. The aging rock band played the first of five shows in London to mark their half-century mark. Lead singer Mick Jagger led the group through its paces during a two and a half-hour show – joined by former bass player Bill Wyman and guitar player Mick Taylor jamming with their former mates on stage. The show was held at the O2 Arena. Lead guitarist Keith Richards – who has survived battles with booze and drugs – told the audience during one break: “I’m happy to see you. I’m happy to see anybody.” Jagger told the audience “it’s amazing” the Stones are still playing – and that people are still buying their records and coming to their shows. He ended his comments with: “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

SETH MACFARLANE PREPARING TO HOST THE OSCARS…WILL WE SEE HILARIOUS RANDOM CUTAWAYS BREAK INTO BORING ACCEPTANCE SPEECHES?

NEW YORK (AP) – Seth MacFarlane has started preparing to host the Oscars. He tells “Extra” that he’s started writing and promises that the show will be “filled with the unexpected.” MacFarlane was honored at Variety’s Power of Comedy, a benefit to raise money for cancer treatment and research. MacFarlane’s mother died of cancer two years ago.

“Brian, if the host isn’t funny this whole evening will be           ru-ee-nd!” “Why are you saying it like that?!”

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN/JON BON JOVI: PITCHING IN FOR NEW JERSEY

MENDHAM, New Jersey (AP) – Two of New Jersey’s favorite musical sons are teaming up to help those in the state affected by Superstorm Sandy. Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi are serving on the advisory board of a relief fund created to help storm victims. The Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund is a nonprofit foundation set up by state first lady Mary Pat Christie to help with long-term recovery efforts. Bon Jovi says the damage and devastation from the storm are unimaginable. But Springsteen says he knows people will rally to help their neighbors “come back better and stronger.” So far, the board has raised more than $16 million.
