LONDON (AP) – The Beatles are marking the 50th anniversary of the release of “Love Me Do” by putting that song out again. A limited edition seven-inch single replica will be reissued next Monday, with “P.S. I Love You” on the flip side. It will have the original Parlophone sleeve art. “Love Me Do” originally was released on October 5, 1962, but didn’t hit number one in the U.S. until 1964.

WHITNEY HOUSTON SPECIAL TAPES IN LOS ANGELES
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Jennifer Hudson says Whitney Houston has been a blueprint for her. Britney Spears calls Houston’s voice “better than God.” LL Cool J says they needed a whole show to honor Houston, not just the quick prayer he did at the Grammys. The show “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston” taped in Los Angeles, featuring Hudson, Spears, LL Cool J, Halle Berry, Usher, CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams.
The tribute will air on CBS November 13.
ELVIS ESTATE ON THE MARKET
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – The house where Elvis and Priscilla Presley lived in Beverly Hills, California, is for sale. Real estate website Trulia says the home hit the market last week. Asking price: $12.9 million. It’s a four-bedroom, five bathroom French Regency estate on 1.18 acres overlooking Los Angeles. Presley rented the house in 1967, then bought it. It was sold in 1973 as the Presleys divorced.
JUDGE RULES ON WEAPONS CHARGE IN MADONNA FAN CASE
NEW YORK (AP) – A New York City judge has dismissed weapons charges against a former firefighter arrested outside Madonna’s apartment building two years ago. The New York Post reports a judge ruled police improperly seized a gravity knife and an ice pick from Robert Linhart when they arrested him. Police say Linhart parked his SUV outside the building, laid out a tarp and spray-painted poster boards that said, “Madonna, I need you,” and “Tell me yes or no. If it’s yes, my dream will come true. If it’s no, I will go.” Linhart still faces a charge of resisting arrest.
ROLLING STONES ANNOUNCE CONCERTS
LONDON (AP) - You can't always get what you want - but if your desire is to attend a Rolling Stones concert this might be your lucky day.
The legendary band says it will return to the stage later this year, with four concerts in Newark, New Jersey, and London.
The band members, who celebrated the 50th anniversary of their first gig at a bash earlier this year, revealed their plans in a video message Monday.
The Stones have sold more than 200 million records, with hits including "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," ''Street Fighting Man" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want."
But in recent years much of their income has come from touring. Their last global tour, "A Bigger Bang," earned more than $500 million between 2005 and 2007.

TOM PETTY SELLS CONVERTIBLE FOR CHARITY
NEW YORK (AP) – Tom Petty is selling his favorite car for humanitarian purposes. Petty has put his 1996 Jaguar XJS convertible on eBay to benefit the charity Doctors Without Borders. Petty says he got the car when he was dating his now-wife, Dana, and he had asked her what her favorite car was. The auction ends October 21.

ALICE COOPER LAUNCHES ROCK ACADEMY
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – To all the girls and boys, makin’ all that noise: Alice Cooper has found you some new toys. Cooper was in South Dakota yesterday helping to launch a rock ‘n’ roll academy in Sioux Falls that’ll be exclusively open to local Boys and Girls Club members. Cooper opened his long-dreamed Rock Teen Center in Phoenix last week, and he says he wanted to help his friend Chuck Brennan offer a similar opportunity in Brennan’s hometown. Brennan, who founded Dollar Loan Center, says the center will teach students how to sing or play guitar, bass, keyboards or drums.
FLEETWOOD MAC, AEROSMITH UP FOR SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME
NEW YORK (AP) – Fleetwood Mac, Jimmy Buffett and Aerosmith have been nominated for inclusion in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Ray Davies of The Kinks, Elvis Costello, Foreigner, Eurythmics, B.B. King, Jeff Lynne of ELO, Steve Winwood and Linda Perry of 4 Non Blondes are also on the ballot. The hall of fame will vote to decide the inductees. The inductions will be in New York in June.
