Alliance tuned up for District competition by winning the team title at the Southeast Wyoming Duals on February 3. the Bulldogs defeated  Minatare 84-0 ,  Lingle-Fort Laramie  72-9,  Pine Bluffs 63-15,  Chadron 45-21 and Sidney 35-32 to take the team title.

District Wrestling  will be this Friday and Saturday, February 9-10.  Alliance will compete in the B-4 Tournament at Gothenburg High School.  Teams include Chadron, Cozad, Gering, Gothenburg, Holdrege, Lexington, McCook, O’Neill, Ogallala, Scottsbluff, Sidney and Alliance.

Class C-4 will be held in Bridgeport. Teams are Ainsworth, Arcadia/Loup City, Bridgeport, Broken Bow, Chase County, Gordon/Rushville, Hershey, Kearney Catholic, Kimball, Loomis/Bertrand, Minden, Mitchell, Ord, Ravenna, Southern Valley and Valentine.

Class D-4 will be held at North Platte Saint Patrick’s High School. Teams are Banner County, Bayard, Crawford, Dundy County/Stratton, Garden County, Hay Springs, Hemingford, Hitchcock County, Hyannis, Maxwell, McPherson County, Medicine Valley, Minatare, Morrill, Mullen, North Platte Saint Patrick’s, Perkins County, Sandhills/Thedford, Sioux County, Sutherland and Wauneta-Palisade.

The Top 4 place winners in each weight class advance to the State Wrestling Tournament, which will be held February 15-16-17 at the Century Link Center in Omaha
