Scottsbluff senior Brayden Auer…daughter of former long-time Chadron State College assistant football coach Todd Auer…will play volleyball this fall at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado.
She says she’s grateful for the opportunity after seeing limited action in sports the past two years because of serious injuries suffered in a car accident going into her junior year.
Auer says college volleyball is something she’s always wanted to do, but didn’t know whether she’d get the chance. Now she hopes to use the opportunity at NJC to eventually move on to a 4-year school.
Not that she isn’t tremendously excited about going to Sterling. She says she likes the coaches, liked the town on her official visit, and thinks the Plainswomen have a good volleyball program…making the school a good fit for her.
