LOS ANGELES (AP) – The fright flick “The Conjuring” opens at number-one this weekend. The haunted house tale takes in 41 and a-half million bucks — more than double what it cost to make. “Despicable Me 2” drops to second, after two weekends on top. Another animated family film, “Turbo,” opens at number three. “Grown Ups 2” is fourth, followed by “RED 2.” Add “R.I.P.D” to the list of big budget bombs, with a seventh place opening weekend. It joins this summer’s mega-flops that include “Pacific Rim,” “White House Down” and “The Lone Ranger.”
