The Bomgaars store in Alliance was the site of a $5,000 check presentation Monday as the company contributed to the Box Butte County Fair “Raise the Roof” project.   The money will be used to help pay the remaining debt on the new livestock pavilion at the county fairgrounds in Hemingford.

Through donations, pledges, and fundraisers, nearly $390,000 has been raised for the new pavilion.

Those wishing to still donate may do so by sending their check to: Raise the Roof” at the UNL Extension Office, 415 Black Hills Avenue in Alliance.

Although there is minor work yet to be completed, the building has been in use since January 6.
