AUTOPSY ORDERED IN UNATTENDED CRAWFORD DEATH

Death Investigation ImageDawes County Attorney and Coroner Vance Haug has ordered an autopsy and toxicology screening for a Crawford man found dead in his home Monday morning.

Haug says 32-year old Matthew Oman was by his roommate, who called the Crawford Rescue Squad shotly after 7:00. The paramedics determined Oman was deceased and notified law enforcement, deputies from the Dawes County Sheriff’s Office arriving a short time later to begin investigating the scene.

Haug says an autopsy and toxicology testing are common procedures in an unattended death and should not be interpreted as suggesting anything about a death. He also says further information on Mr Oman’s death will be released when available and appropriate.
