NASHVILLE (AP) – Paul McCartney, Mumford And Sons, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be the headliners for Bonnaroo. Other performers include R. Kelly, Bjork (BYORK), Wu-Tang Clan, Wilco, The Lumineers, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Davie Byrne and St. Vincent, Of Monsters And Men and “Weird Al” Yankovic. Bonnaroo will be June 13-16 in Manchester, Tennessee. Tickets go on sale Saturday.

DR. DREW’S “CELEB REHAB”: NOT THE BEST TRACK RECORD

NASHVILLE (AP) – Dr. Drew says he tried to help Mindy McCready but it’s not his fault she died. Dr. Drew treated her on the 2009 season of “Celebrity Rehab.” He’s come under fire because McCready is the fifth “Celebrity Rehab” participant to die and the third from that season alone. Dr. Drew tells “The View” he reached out to McCready two weeks ago after the death of her boyfriend last month and told her to get help, but she left rehab just hours later. He says he hasn’t been her doctor for years.

TONIGHT ON TV: “IDOL” DOES VEGAS

LAS VEGAS (AP) – It’ll be the boys versus the girls when the Top 40 perform in Las Vegas starting tonight on “American Idol.” The girls will sing on the next two Wednesdays starting tonight and the boys will perform on Thursdays. They’ll sing in groups of ten. Each night, the judges will keep five contestants and send five home. By the end of next week, we’ll know who’s in the Top 20.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Seth MacFarlane is sure this will be his only time hosting the Oscars and he already has an idea who his replacements will be. MacFarlane says it’s “very likely” that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will get the job. They got raves for hosting the Golden Globes. MacFarlane says preparing to host the Oscars is hard work. He says he doesn’t like “working 150 hours a week.” He’s continuing to voice the characters in “Family Guy” and “American Dad” while preparing for the Oscars. He says it’s “very vocally taxing” because there’s a lot of screaming and yelling. He admits he’s “a little exhausted.”

LONDON (AP) – The man who used The Beatles as his backing band before anyone knew who The Beatles were has died. UK’s Telegraph newspaper reports Tony Sheridan has died at the age of 72. Details of his death were not given, but Sheridan had heart surgery last year. The Beatles met Sheridan while they played clubs in Hamburg. Sheridan recruited The Beatles to back him up at a Hamburg club. They were credited as “The Beat Brothers” on Sheridan’s recordings of “My Bonnie” and “When The Saints Go Marching In.”

MINDY McCREADY SHOT DOG BEFORE KILLING HERSELF

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) – Mindy McCready died next to her late boyfriend’s dog on the same porch where the boyfriend died last month. Sheriff Marty Moss of Cleburne County, Arkansas, says it appears McCready killed the dog belonging to her boyfriend, David Wilson, before she turned the gun upon herself Sunday. They were found dead next to each other at her home in Heber Springs. Wilson died of a gunshot wound to the head last month. His death has been investigated as a suicide but an official determination has not been made. Moss says McCready’s official cause of death will be released soon but all signs point to suicide.

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) – Mindy McCready’s ex-boyfriend says she threatened to kill herself after she lost custody of her sons last month, but she was allowed to leave a court-ordered rehab facility just days ago. Billy McKnight says McCready was in an inpatient treatment center for about 18 hours before allowed to walk free. McKnight says McCready was in a “terrible state of mind” and it was “a big mistake on the part of whoever released her.” McKnight is the father of McCready’s elder son, Zander.

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) – Mindy McCready’s children were not with her when she was found dead. Authorities confirm McCready’s two sons were in foster care. Her ex-boyfriend, Billy McKnight, is the father of McCready’s elder son, Zander. He says he’s working to get custody of Zander but he does not know the details of the younger son, Zayne, who was born last year. Zayne’s father is musician David Wilson, who was found dead at McCready’s home last month of an apparent suicide. The children were put in foster care earlier this month when McCready’s father expressed concern that she was abusing drugs.

NEW YORK (AP) – New York City police are investigating harassment complaints made by actor Alec Baldwin and a New York Post photographer after an altercation.

According to police, photographer G.N. Miller says the former “30 Rock” star yelled racial epithets and other insults when he was trying to take pictures of the actor outside his Manhattan apartment. Baldwin maintains he hollered at the photographer, but never said anything racist. He called the allegations “outrageous.”

Baldwin called police and filed a harassment complaint Monday after the incident. The photographer later filed a cross-complaint.

The police department’s Hate Crimes Task force was looking into the allegations.

A Post spokeswoman had no immediate comment on Tuesday.
