NEW YORK (AP) – Miley Cyrus won’t come right out and say she gets high, but she tells Rolling Stone that she did a song with Snoop Dogg called “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,” “so people can put it together for themselves.” Cyrus says she thinks booze is “way more dangerous” than weed.
LOS ANGELES (AP) – James Gandolfini “was a genius.” That’s what “Sopranos” creator David Chase says. Gandolfini died yesterday while in Rome on vacation. He was 51. Gandolfini won three Emmys for his role as Tony Soprano on the ground-breaking HBO series. Sopranos co-star Lorraine Bracco says she’s “utterly heartbroken.” Another Sopranos co-star, musician Steven Van, says the “world has lost one of the greatest actors of all time.”
Hospital officials in Rome say Gandolfini died after suffering cardiac arrest.
Dr. Claudio Modini, head of the emergency room at the Policlinic Umberto I hospital, said Gandolfini arrived at the hospital at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday and was pronounced dead at 11 p.m. after reanimation efforts in the ambulance and hospital failed.
He told The Associated Press today that an autopsy would be performed starting 24 hours after the death, as required by law.

Sunday’s episode is not only the last one of season six, it has to set up the final season of the series. But Weiner says he didn’t worry about any of that. He says it’ll be like all the other season finales because he writes them as if they’re the last episodes of the series anyway.

Danielle Bradbery was so stunned at winning she sang about three lines of her celebratory song and then just stood there covering up the smile on her face. The band and background singers kept going. It also means another win for Team Blake, as Blake Shelton gets his third win. Michelle Chamuel from Team Usher came in second, with The Swon Brothers from Team Blake in third.

NEW YORK (AP) – Katy Perry says John Mayer has a “beautiful mind” – but a “tortured soul.” Perry dishes to Vogue magazine about two of her high profile relationships, including that with fellow singer Mayer. The two have had an off and on relationship. But Perry says she “was madly in love with him” and still is. As for her ex-husband, comedian Russell Brand, Perry says she was in love with him when they married in 2010. But she says she hasn’t heard from Brand since he texted her on New Year’s Eve of 2011 to say he wanted a divorce. Perry says she used to blame herself for the breakup until she found out what she calls the truth of the matter. She didn’t elaborate on that in the Vogue interview.
UNDATED (AP) – Beyonce is congratulating Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on the birth of their daughter. Beyonce writes on her website, “enjoy this beautiful moment together.” She posted it with a photo of Kardashian and West smiling at each other. She and Jay-Z are friends with West.
We got to see Kim Kardashian’s baby when she was still inside her on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” but we don’t know how much we’ll see of her now. E! wouldn’t say how much the baby will be part of the show. It says “out of respect for their privacy,” they won’t be commenting on the possibility.
