Alliance will host the 49th annual Association of Art Clubs summer conference June 13-15.

The Box Butte Art Society expects to showcase 330 pieces of art at the exhibit/competition that will be held at the performing arts center. The exhibits will include both two and three dimensional original art.

Jelinda Nye, Gretchen Garwood, and Stephanie Mantooth serve as the local conference committee.

The art exhibit will be open for public viewing on Thursday, June 13 from 8 am to 5 pm; Friday, June 14 from 8 am to 5 pm; and Saturday from 8 am to 2:30 pm.

A silent auction of local and statewide art will be held during the conference.

The convention will hold its awards banquet at the Knight Museum on Friday night.

The Association of Nebraska Art Clubs consists of 42 clubs with 760 members.
