According to other media sources, a 31 year old Alliance man is charged in a two-count Indictment by a federal grand jury according to the U.S.. Attorney’s office.
Count I of the Indictment charges Erwin Sample with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute a mixture containing methamphetamine beginning on or about March, 2014, and continuing to on or about July, 2015. Count II of the Indictment charges Sample with possession of a stolen firearm. The maximum possible penalty if convicted is 10 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and a 3 year term of supervised releas.
The charges stem from the search of Sample’s residence in The Meadows in Alliance by investigators from the WING Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Alliance Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol. A quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, packaging materials used in the distribution of methamphetamine and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia were seized.
Sample was taken into custody without incident .
