Alliance High School students who shine in the classroom will be recognized tonight (Tuesday, May 7) during the annual Honors Convocation, which begins at seven o’clock in the performing arts center.
Awards will be offered to students studying agriculture, family and consumer science, math, industrial technology, language arts, foreign languages, science, physical education, computer programming, communications, business, peer mentoring, and social studies.
Students who competed for the academic decathlon team and those who won medals at the Chadron State College Scholastic Day on April 5 will also be recognized.
Academic Letters will also be presented as well as the awarding of the annual PEO scholarship, the Alliance Rotary RYLA Awards, the Regional Heath Opportunity Program Award, and the Nebraska Leadership Seminar Award.
Refreshments will be served following the program.
