The Alliance School Board has approved the advancement of Roger Trennepohl as the new head varsity boys basketball coach.

Trennepohl will succeed Michael Baker, who resigned as coach last month but will continue to teach history at Alliance High.

Trennepohl currently serves as an Alliance Middle School Social Studies teacher, Varsity Assistant Football coach, and Middle School Track coach.

Trennepohl, who has also served as Freshman boys basketball coach, has been with the Alliance Public Schools for five years.
