Stan Bills, Executive Director of Snow Redfern Foundation, recently awarded Box Butte General Hospital’s CNO Jane McConkey with a check for $2,500 to go toward the Health Professions Club. Snow Redfern Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children.

In 2012, they awarded 23 grants throughout Nebraska, over $88,000, to assist youth organizations.

The HPC applied for one of the grants in August of 2012 and were notified in November that their application had been accepted. The money will be used for club expenses such as: travel, food, lodging for their annual field trip (this year to Lincoln/Omaha) to gain knowledge of healthcare on a larger scale, and for other yearly expenses as well.
