Alliance High School hosted the Western Conference Speech Meet on Saturday, February 25. All six Western Conference Schools were in attendance: Sidney, Chadron, Gering, Mitchell, Scottsbluff, and Alliance.

The team sweepstakes awards went to:
Gering High School – 3rd Place – 26 points
Chadron High School – 2nd Place -40 points
Western Conference Champions – 1st Place – Sidney High School – 91 points

The following Alliance High School students were finalists, and earned medals in their events:

OID (Oral Interpretation of Drama) – 4th Place – Hannah Middleton, Trajan Garcia, Magi Hoff, and Jewelia Taylor

There were 6 finalists in the Final round of Duet Acting.

In 6th place, from Mitchell High School , Lexie Jackson and Lexie Funk.

In 5th place, from Sidney, Sophie Price and Jakob Austad.

In 4th place, from Sidney, Mitch Verhulst and Davis Burch.

In 3rd place, from Chadron High School , Brooklyn Stack and Aubree Noble.

In 2nd place, from Chadron High School , Alyssa Noble and Emily Blaylock.

In 1st place, from Sidney, Brooke Glass and Samee Kaus.
