Karli Noble, a libero from Cheyenne, and Mickey Trimble, a setter from Platte City, Missouri, have signed National Letters of Intent to play college volleyball at Chadron State College, in the early signing period ending Wednesday.
Noble is an all-around athlete who prospered not only in volleyball, but also in basketball and track and field in high school at Cheyenne South. This comes as no surprise to longtime Eagles fans, as her father Scott was an assistant football coach at CSC, and her mother, Debbie Spickelmier-Noble, was a four-time NAIA All-American for the Eagle track and field team. Both brother Cade and sister Dani competed at Chadron State as well. Karli Noble’s senior volleyball season saw her earn Wyoming 4A East All-Conference honors. She also competes with the EVA 18 Blackshirts Club team. In basketball she averaged 12 points per game her junior season, and she is a six-time state placer in track and field with a rare mix of 400-meter power and 800-meter endurance.
Trimble comes to CSC via Fort Scott Community College in Kansas, where she led the nation with 11.55 assists per set her sophomore year at setter. After advancing her team to the NJCAA District M championship final, she was named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Co-MVP as well as First Team All-Conference and First Team All-District. Trimble was a one-time conference player of the week, and earned honorable mention following her 2015 campaign.
Chadron State head volleyball coach Riann Mullis continues to recruit both nationally and locally, and expects to complete her 2017-18 freshman class in the April signing period.
