ROLL TIDE- ALABAMA WINS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is celebrating another national championship after the Crimson Tide raced out to a 35-0 lead and beat Notre Dame 42-14 in the BCS title game at Miami.

A.J. McCarron threw for four touchdowns and Eddie Lacy scored twice while rushing for 140 yards on 20 carries. Alabama finishes 13-1 after becoming the third team to win three national titles in four seasons since polls started being used to crown champions in 1936, and the first since Nebraska from 1994-97.
