The Alliance Police Department is investigating a scam relating to a fraudulent posting of a house for rent in Alliance on Craigslist.  Prospective tenants should exercise caution when communicating with individuals who claim to own property in the area.  Protect yourself by never giving out financial information, and never wiring money to anyone you have never met in person.  Anyone having become a victim of such a scam should call the Alliance Police Department at 308-762-4955.
