NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) – Authorities say a Connecticut man accused of driving his car erratically in Nebraska was traveling at nearly 115 mph.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 36-year-old Erik L. O’Connell, of Milford, Connecticut, was arrested Tuesday following reports of a vehicle traveling erratically at a high speed on Interstate 80 near North Platte.
A trooper stopped a vehicle traveling at nearly 115 mph. The trooper says O’Connell, the driver, smelled of alcohol.
O’Connell was taken to the Lincoln County Jail on charges including driving under the influence and speeding. Court records do not list an attorney for him.
