Shin-Soo Choo hit for the cycle and Matt Harrison earned his first win in 14 months as the Texas Rangers routed the Colorado Rockies 9-0 Tuesday night.
Delino DeShields had a career-high four hits and Prince Fielder homered for the Rangers, who won for only the third time in 13 games.
Choo, who had three RBIs, doubled in the second inning, homered in the fourth and singled in the fifth. He completed the cycle with a triple to center leading off the ninth.
It was the eighth cycle in franchise history and first since Alex Rios did it Sept. 23, 2013, against Houston.
Boston Red Sox All-Star Brock Holt was the only other major leaguer to hit for the cycle this season, on June 16 against Atlanta.

— The AL Central-leading Kansas City Royals touched Pittsburgh’s 13-game winner Gerrit Cole for three runs in the eighth inning to break up a scoreless duel in their 3-1 victory over the Pirates. Jarrod Dyson’s two-run single was the big hit in the eighth. Royals closer Greg Holland struck out Gregory Polanco with the bases loaded for the final out. Kansas City is now are 20 games over .500. Holland has 21 saves in 24 tries.
— The AL West-leading Los Angeles Angels won their sixth in a row, 7-0 over Minnesota. Chris Ianetta hit a three-run home run.
— Franklin Gutierrez’s pinch-hit grand slam in the eighth inning lifted the Seattle Mariners to a wild 11-9 victory over the Detroit. The Tigers had come back from a 5-1 deficit and led 8-6 before Neftali Feliz allowed five runs in the eighth.
— Matt Holliday hit his sixth career grand slam, powering Michael Wacha and the St. Louis Cardinals past the Chicago White Sox 8-5. Michael Wacha improved to 11-3 even though he gave up five runs in five innings.
— Brendan Ryan hit a tiebreaking RBI double in the sixth inning and the New York Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles 3-2 to bolster their lead atop the AL East. The Yankees moved 10 games over .500 for the first time since Sept. 13, 2013.
— The New York Mets cut Washington’s lead to two games in the NL East by beating the Nationals 7-2. Pinch-hitter Eric Campbell’s two-run, go-ahead single in the seventh inning was the big hit for the Mets, who rapped out a total of 10 hits. Jason deGrom improved to 10-6 with six strong innings for the Mets. DeGrom is 5-1 in his last seven starts.
— Kyle Schwarber hit a tying two-run homer in the ninth inning, then added a solo shot in the 13th in rallying the Chicago Cubs to a 5-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.
— San Francisco rookie Chris Heston, who already has thrown a no-hitter against the Mets, didn’t give up a hit until the sixth inning in the Giants’ 9-3 win over San Diego. Heston allowed just that one hit over seven and a-third innings in winning his 10th game.
— Atlanta edged the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3. Juan Uribe drove in the go-ahead run with a fifth inning single.
— Jean Segura hit a two-run homer for his first extra-base hit in more than six weeks and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cleveland Indians 8-1. Matt Garza pitched six shutout innings in his return from the disabled list. He’s 5-10.
— Chris Carter hit a two-run homer and rookie Carlos Correa drove in two runs as the Houston Astros used a big fifth inning to roll to an 8-3 victory over Boston. The Red Sox have lost six in a row.
— Tampa Bay blanked Philadelphia 1-0. Nathan Karns homered and pitched five innings for the win. He’s 5-5. That’s the first homer hit by an American League pitcher since 2011.
— Mat Latos allowed four hits through seven innings in his third straight strong start and the Miami Marlins snapped a four-game losing streak with a 3-0 victory over Arizona.
— Toronto beat Oakland 7-1. Russell Martin, Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion homered.
