Creighton and Nebraska are in the top 10 nationally in 2014-15 men’s college basketball attendance.
The NCAA said Monday Creighton ranked sixth with an average crowd of 17,048 at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha. Nebraska ranked 10th with an average crowd of 15,569 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
Nebraska fans helped the Big Ten lead the nation in conference attendance for the 39th straight year. Big Ten games drew an average of 12,781.
Creighton’s league, the Big East, was sixth in conference attendance with 9,853 a game.
In addition, the Huskers were one of only five programs to have men’s and women’s basketball programs that ranked in the top 15 in average attendance in 2014-15, joining Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee and Michigan State.
Syracuse led the nation in attendance for the second year in a row, at 23,854 a game. Kentucky was second, at 23,572.
