The first sessions of Chadron State Football Summer Camp are winding down with 11-man teams, and next week will see the small squads come to town looking to learn from the Eagles staff and players. If you’re a sports fan in Nebraska you’re likely very familiar with the energy and excitement found in 8-man and 6-man football. Chadron State Head Coach Jay Long says his players tap into that upbeat, positive energy and excitement when they’re teaching football skills during both weeks of camp.
Camp is a building experience for both the high school players and college kids, and the prep kids that put everything they’ve got into their summer effort in Chadron could see it pay off in the end by wearing an Eagle uniform on a college Saturday.
Chadron State’s 6-8-9-man camps start June 14.
