During the course of employment with the public transit system, the BBCPT employees are aware of many individuals that are in need of essential items to enable them to maintain a cleaner, healthier lifestyle. These individuals, our neighbors, may be temporarily down on their luck, come from lowincome families or senior citizens with limited resources that do not enable them to afford the personal hygiene items that many of us take for granted.
The employees of BBCPT are collecting items to assemble personal hygiene kits to be distributed through the BBCPT system and the Northwest Community Action Program. We need your help! Items that are being collected include (trial sizes may work best for the kits): x
Bar Soap
Shampoo
Conditioner
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Razors
Lotion
Wash Clothes
Will you help us give much needed hygiene products to people who are struggling to meet their family’s basic needs? By distributing the kits through our local outreaches, you will be assisting with something so simple which can have such a profound impact on someone’s life. One kit for one individual can change one life.
Our first initial collection of items will run until May 8 th , 2015. Our volunteers will then assemble kits and distribute as needed. We hope to collect enough of all items listed above to place in each kit. Our goal is to assemble at least 200 kits total from our first collection. In addition to the above items, each kit will contain a card with proper hand washing and teeth brushing techniques and your personal or business name listed. If you would like to make arrangements for items to be picked up, please call us at 7623596. Thank you for helping us to help our neighbors and keeping Box Butte County a healthier place to live.
