Work to Begin on N-385, Angora to Box Butte County Line

road work aheadWeather permitting, construction work is scheduled to begin the week of May 1 on N-385
at Angora to the Morrill/Box Butte county line, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads
(NDOR).

Simon Contractors and Subsidiaries, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, is the prime contractor for
the $2.06 million project.  Work includes milling and asphaltic concrete paving from
Reference Post 87+45 to Reference Post 101+72.

Traffic will be maintained at a reduced speed with lane closures in the work area.  The work is scheduled to be completed this summer.

The NDOR project manager is Russ Frickey.  Motorists are urged to use caution while
driving through highway work zones and to remember that fines are doubled when workers are
present.
