
Something about Carhenge draws in visitors. Most are tourists. Some are travel writers or photographers.
And yes, a select few see Alliance’s #1 tourist attraction as the perfect place to roll the cameras.
Carhenge was ready for its close up as Anthony De La Torre arrived Friday night March 6th. The players in his band, which happens to be called De La Torre, were on the set by Sunday morning.
De La Torre grew up in Ohio and now resides in Nashville, where the finishing touches are being put on his debut album. He selected Carhenge for the video to his song “Ruins” because of its connections to Stonehenge. The finished video will start with a shiny new car, and end up with band singing in front of that same car–now one of the automotive “ruins” at Carhenge.
During their Alliance visit the band members and assistant Wade Hawkins visited local eateries, toured landmarks and visited KCOW Radio for an interview.
