PEARL ANNEN, 94

Pearl Annen, 94, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Box Butte General Hospital.

She was born Anna Pearl Eatinger on February 25, 1918 in Cherry County, NE to Charles H. and Anna R. (Barnum) Eatinger.

On September 12, 1963 she was united in marriage to William “Leonard” Annen at Trinity Methodist Church in Denver, CO.

Pearl was an assistant bookkeeper for Cover-Jones Motor Company in Alliance for several years before moving to Denver in 1963.  In 1995 the couple moved to Tucson, AZ until she moved to Alliance in 2004.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Alliance and Tucson, AZ, the United Methodist Church in Denver.  She was also a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  She enjoyed travelling, dancing and was an accomplished artist in oil paintings.

She is survived by her daughters, Terry Sheesley and Nancy Pumphrey of Alliance, her grandson, Mark Walcott of Antioch and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, Bret Walcott and granddaughter, Tracy Pumphrey, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. C.S.T. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Thedford.  Pastor Linda Martin will officiate.  Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Thedford.  Visitation will be Sunday, December 9 from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Hillcrest Cemetery or the Congregational Church UCC in Thedford.
