The South Dakota High Way Patrol says a Oelrichs man was killed about 6:30 Monday morning in a one-vehicle accident a little north of the Nebraska state line on Highway 385.

The Patrol says 41 year old Billy Eisenbraun was northbound in a highway construction zone when his pickup hit a construction cone, crossed over the pavement, and slammed into a parked piece of construction equipment.

Eisenbraun was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Memorial services are planned for Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Prairie View United Methodist Church near Smithwick.
