TAKE A GHOST TOUR THURS OR SUN IN CHADRON

Chadron library front framedThe Chadron Public Library has worked hard in recent years to break away from the traditional image of a library being a stuffy place with books and not much else by offering a variety of special activities and programs.

Today and Sunday, the library pushes the envelop a little farther with a pair of ghost hunting tours. The tours, led by nationally-known ghost hunter Richard Dabney, will begin in the library both nights at 5:00.

Library Director Rossella Tesch says Dabney is already familiar with Chadron and the library because she’s already had him come out once.

Tesch says Chadron is fairly well-known in paranormal circles with sections websites that include Ghosts of America dot com, Haunted Rooms dot com, and Haunted Places dot org, so bringing a trained ghost hunter seemed like a library program that people might like.

Tesch has no idea who many people to expect for the ghost tours and is prepared for multiple sections if needed at the library before moving out to other parts of the city.

Tesch says children will be allowed on the ghost tours only if they’re accompanied by an adult.
