State Senator Al Davis of Hyannis continues his ambitious 4-day, 27-town series of legislative office visits across the vast 43rd District with 6 stops in northern Cherry County today before finishing up with 6 more tomorrow.
He began his trip Monday with 8 towns in the Sandhills and made 7 stops yesterday in Dawes, Sheridan, and Box Butte counties.
Davis says his biggest audiences, about 20 people each, were yesterday in Whitney and Chadron while no one came out Monday for his meeting in Halsey.
Davis is using this week’s meetings to hear constitutent concerns in person and give an overview of some of the interim studies being done by the legislature this year.
He says the input has been on a combination of local and broad issues.
The 43rd Legislative District is the largest in Nebraska, covering 20% of the state’s landmass and all or parts of 13 counties.
