COZAD, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say one body has been recovered and a 9-year-old girl has been hospitalized after a fire that heavily damaged a mobile home in the south-central Nebraska city of Cozad.
The fire was reported shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Fire Chief Steve Bihlmaier says the girl pulled from the burning home was flown to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney and then to an Omaha hospital. Firefighters found the body of a 45-year-old man inside the home. The names of the man and girl have not been released.
The fire cause is being investigated.
