If you will be turning 65 in the near future and have questions about Medicare, help is available. Jeanne Murray, UNL Extension Educator and a certified Nebraska Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) volunteer, will have an informational presentation on pre-Medicare issues.

The program will be given on Monday, July 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the UNL Box Butte County Extension Office, 415 Black Hills Ave, Alliance. Topics to be discussed include how and when to apply for Medicare.

Do you want to keep working and delay Medicare, then what? What is meant by Part A, Part B, and Part D? What are Medicare Advantage plans? What is Medigap or supplemental insurance? What do I need to consider when choosing a plan? There will also be information on Medicare’s preventive services and MyMedicare.gov, the place where your claim information is stored.
