JUDGE CLEARS FEDS IN INSANE CLOWN POSSE BEEF
DETROIT (AP) — Insane Clown Posse has come up on the short end of a decision about how the federal government characterized the rap-metal duo. A judge in Detroit has ruled that the Feds can’t be blamed for the fallout from a 2011 FBI report that said fans of the group were a loosely organized gang. In tossing out the lawsuit by the duo, a federal judge said the U.S. Justice Department isn’t responsible for how authorities use a national report on gangs.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan filed the suit on behalf of the group and its fans, known as Juggalos. The suit claimed their rights to free speech and due process were violated by the report. The ACLU says it will appeal.

fun. with DOGS
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dogs are getting some musical love — now that a TV network for pooches has gotten a Grammy-winning artist to write music for one of its shows.
DogTV says Andrew Dost of fun. has been put on a leash to write some psychoacoustic music for the network. The four-minute tune was rolled out this week as part of a relaxation segment for dogs. The music is played under video recorded in Yosemite National Park — and the result is designed to get dogs to chill when they are home alone.
